E-Mail Export Shield is a tool for the export of e-mail messages. You can use it to extract messages from your e-mail client database and write them to your hard drive as individual text files - readable in any text editor. Most e-mail clients use a vendor specific format to store your mail. Some provide import filters to aid you in porting e-mail from a competitor's format. Few provide export filters.
